Mills Does His First Minister Reshuffle

In his first reshuffle, President Mills has reappointed the MP for North Dayi and Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs, Ms. Akua Sena Dansoa as the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Zita Okakoi’s position as Minister of Information will be taken over by Hon. John Tia while she heads for the Tourism Ministry.

Majority Leader, Alban Bagbin, will now join the Executive as Minister – Designate for Water Resources, Works and Housing.

While Hon. E.T Mensah who served in the erstwhile Rawlings’ regime will take over the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare.

The rest are:

Mr. Martin Amidu, Minister – Designate for Interior;

Hon. Stephan Kwao Amanor moves to the Office of the President as Minister of State

Hon. Mrs. Juliana Azumah – Mensah moves to the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs

Mr. Moses Magbenba replaces Mr. S. S. Nanyina as Northern Regional Minister – Designate;

Hon. John Gyetuah, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry moves to the Office of the President as Minister of State – Designate.

Mr. Mahama Ayariga – Deputy Minister – Designate for Trade and Industry;

Hon. lnusah Abdulai Fuseini replaces Dr. Kwabena Donkor as Deputy Minister – Designate for Energy.

Mr. Nasamu Asabigi – Deputy Minister – Designate for the Northern Region.

Hon. Cletus Avoka and Hon. Abdul- Rashid Pelpuo are to be re-assigned, whilst Alhaji lddi Saani is to be replaced as the Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing.
